Overview

The Wolff Indiana, LLC Atlas® Vise is a full rotary fly tying vise equipped with replaceable jaws, c-clamp, pedestal base, and material clip. The Atlas® vise is crafted from 440-C and 303 stainless steels with 0-1 tool steel jaws. The jaws fitted on your new vise are designed to accommodate hook sizes from 7/0 to 32. An extended finger pin with ball end for easy wrapping can be located in any of four pre-drilled positions. Combining the stainless steel construction, knurled friction knob and cam action lock with delrin sleeve bearings and teflon bushings produces a smooth, solid, and precise feel.

The c-clamp assembly ships fitted to your Atlas® Vise held in place by a black thumb screw on the back of the c-clamp. The c-clamp attaches to a flat surface up to 1-3/4" thick by adjusting the brass knob.

The Pedestal base ships conveniently packaged under your Atlas® Vise. The stem holder screws into the base to provide a secure, steady platform for all of your creations.

Don't forget to add the Bobbin Cradle!

Great Value and Performance!

I have just started using my Atlas, but find it to be up to the task. I call it my Light-Heavyweight vise and it handles what I do for my fresh warm water flies quite well. Just an fantastic value on a USA made vise.

OUTSTANDING Vise

Well, I have had this vise about four years now and I feel I can now give an honest review. I have tied small nymphs, (size 12 - 20), larger flies, (size 10 - 4/0), and the vise has worked very well. The smaller flies (18 & 20) seem to pop out of the jaws occasionally. There is minimal hook movement on larger flies. The jaws did chip on me but with a small file they were back in business. I would buy this vise again. I would also grab a spare set of jaws just to avoid any potential down time. A SOLID purchase for sure.

EXCELLENT vise and Excellent customer service

I had an older version, but I lost it in a house fire, but I have nothing but great things to say about the vice and the customer service. If you are thinking about this vice, get it, you won't regret the decision.

Excellent rotary vise with fabulous customer service

I bought this vise back in 2014 and have tied hundreds and hundreds of flies with this. The only two issues I have had with this are the barrel cracking (emailed Wolff and received a replacement barrel) and the little rubber feet from the base fell off (used rubber bands around it to give it grip). The vise has worked on large hooks for norther pike and redfish down to size 24 midges for trout. It has great range and doesn’t seem to slip. After 8 years of use it is still smooth and strong. It’s a beautiful and functional vise with amazing build quality and supports a great company! I look forward to many, many more years of use and productivity!

My first and will probably be my only!

I received my Atlas from PHWFF as part of their fly tying program. Never tied before but I absolutely love it and I’ve met and made some great friends through tying lures. I know more experienced and professional ty’ers use various other vises but this Atlas definitely suits my needs to produce beautiful and effective flies for myself, family and friends. I have even used it to restore my first three lures my father gave me over 50 years ago.
